Une influence de la langue bulgare dans la phonétique roumaine: l’anticipation de l’élément palatal dans la série lexicale câine/câini ‘chien/chiens’, pâine/pâini ‘pain/pains’, etc.
Romanian linguists have not yet come to an agreement regarding the identification and justification of the anticipation of the palatal element. As our paper unfolds, we may speak about anticipation in the palatal element of the dental consonant ń as compared to the Bulgarian language, where the phenomenon occurred between 11th-12th centuries. It was transferred into Romanian not by loanwords but as a model of singular/ plural inflection in masculine Bulgarian nouns with consonant -en- theme (sg. -eń-/ pl. -eńe-). This explains why in Romanian anticipation concerns words in a variety of lexical categories, in which the dental consonant n was non-palatalized. By the end of Proto-Romanian this phenomenon was characteristic in Aromanian, Megleno-Romanian and Southern Daco-Romanian dialects.
