| Rezumat: | A careful analysis of onomastics’s in Coşbuc’s poetical works leads to surprising results. It shows that the poet was inspired equally by Romanian history (mainly that of Moldova) and the universal history. Also, contrary to some opinions, biblical names often appear in his poetry. Onomastics research of Coşbuc’s poetry is, from our point of view, a necessary step in order to better understand the linguistic elements of great expressiveness, revealing new facets of poetic language arts. Certainly, the name appearing in texts are not chosen at random, having them almost every time play a role. They rarely occur only because of pure versification needs. It is also well known that the poet had concerns in onomastics. In various studies he explained the formation of names, their history and symbolism. |
