| Rezumat: | In this article, the author analyses the reflection on Antoine Berman’s literary translation throughout his most important works. Emphasis is lain upon the concept of “étrangeté” that characterizes the “non-ethnocentrical” translation, also to the “étranger” pattern and to “auberge du lointain”, all metaphors for the translated text and the language and civilization in which the text is translated. The last part is reserved to the concept of criticism of the translation that Berman excellently illustrated in his latest work. |
