Abstract: | [Aquisition, adaptation, literalization of oral texts in dialectal register in the Academy’s Dictionary of the Romanian Language] When the Academy’s Dictionary of Romanian language (DLR) was being updated, some of the problems being discussed concerned developing an efficient process of analyzing the dialectological research results which were conducted within these national projects: The New Romanian Linguistic Atlas by Regions (NALR) and The Romanian Linguistic Atlas by Regions (ALRR). Concerning aquisition, as quotations, of some fragments from oral texts in dialectal form which were collected and published within the same programs, these matters are discussed and technical solutions are offered in order to emphasize the specific features of regional speeches from different Daco-Romanian areas. The arguments support the necessity of minimally “literalizing” the reproduction of oral texts in agreement with the way in which these kinds of materials were employed in previous series of DLR, and also in order to preserve the phonetic features in popular and regional forms from the literary language texts of previous centuries, which have been used as illustrative quotations in the academic dictionary’s articles. |
Key words: | lexicographical use of oral texts in dialectal form, literalizing, representation of specific features of regional speeches in the quotations of the Academy’s Dictionary |
