Rezumat:[Plato, about Revelation and Plagiarism. An Overview] Between the Greek philosophy and Christianity there is an undeniable connection. It is natural to consider that the Greek rational categories influenced the concepts of Christian theology. If we analyse carefully the texts belonging to the first centuries, we can notice a very interesting thing: actually, the influence is contrariwise. Those who put forward this perspective suspend the chronology and bring forth a thinking nucleus which reduces the understanding of life to the unidimensional means of theoretical reason. The Christian revelation is the apex of an ampler revelation, whose effects are noticeable from before the embodiment of Christ. The Logos infuses into the Greek wisemen’s works with all the truths which Christianity has used to consider its own. Agreeing that The Logos has for both sides almost the same signification, John the Apostle points out to his contemporary philosophers the fact that Jesus is the very Logos they had written about long before. After that, Justin the Martyr and Philosopher asserted squarely that “all the truth that has been ever told belongs to the Christians”. Among the defenders of the truth, Justin counts Socrates, who partly knew Christ only through reason, which is in itself a participation at the Logos. The courage of these statements does not come just from faith probably. A contemporary of Justin’s, Numenios, is more radical and asks himself: “What is Plato if not a Moses who speaks Attica?”. A long time before them, Philon of Alexandria, had tried to unify the biblical tradition to the Greek philosophy so that it would result that the wisdom of Greeks is in its essence a Jewish teaching. In his opinion, the Greeks owe their wisdom to the Pentateuch. Departing from original texts, we inted to analyse up to what degree such perspectives can be validated and sustained.
