Rezumat:Among toponyms, the oikonyms have a very clear defined structure, the name of human settlements appearing as motivated and keeping this motivation until this day. This motivation is determined by the relationship between the object and its designation (settlements formed starting from entopics), a neighborhood relationship with some object close in space.
Most of them have an anthroponimic as a starting point, to which different suffixes have been attached, first of all group suffixes (-eşti, -eni, -ani, -ar(i), -aş(i), -o(i)). Many such names, formed with the above suffixes, appear as an illustration of social relationships.
Also, there are compound oikonyms, which find a motivation at a local level, the second component having an individualizing role.
The toponymic system depends on the colloquial language system, either directly or by means of the antroponymic system, which in turn, is also subordinated to the lexical system of the language. Most oikonyms have only one source, namely colloquial language.
