| Rezumat: | This article aims at illustrating the requirements and dilemmas of the translator regarding the transposition of the cultural referents (customs, traditions, specific dishes and drinks, currencies, units of measurements and control). No matter which might be the option of the translator – direct or indirect means of translating –, he remains a mediator in communication, thus allowing the public speaking the target-language to comprehend the specific of the civilization corresponding to the source-language. |
