| Abstract: | Appearing either as a « hard core » of the language or as a term different from the other words, the proper names can be considered « untranslatable ». However, a French-Romanian work as the one of Panaït Istrati shows concretely that the transcription/transposition of onomastics is subject to official codes (such as those of cartography), more or less used by practicians of news-reporting, and that it also engenders creation of style, reminding of an author’s poetics. |
