| Abstract: | Istrati’s xenophilic work stages the mistakes of foreigners speaking bad Romanian. The language of the mistakes is the autotranslating writer’s French. This paradox makes the reader envisage the utopic character of the linguistic search which is intimately linked to the author’s dream of changing the world, at least within and through his writing. |
