| Rezumat: | The paper aims to identify the grammatical indices of the reported speech (RS) called direct speech (DS), a discourse which reveals similar pragmalinguistic features to those assigned to the utterances belonging to the real dialogue (to the direct discourse, DD), in the sixteenth century Romanian texts. The author examines the syntax of the direct discourse from the perspective of enunciation. The theoretical support is discourse analysis and functional grammar. There are presented some aspects regarding the syntactic relations between the constitutive elements of various realizations of direct speech (DS), identified in the analysed material. Specifically, the paper concentrates on the way in which the forms of DS are integrated into old Romanian texts of different types: the relation between the quoting statement and the limits (lexical / graphic boundaries) of these components of DS placed in relation to general syntax of the statement (the position of the introductory element) and the internal syntax of the quoting statement (word order SV/ VS). |
