Nature, scenes – as well as other structural artistic elements – play, in Ion Creanga’s works, an important and essential part, though they are not so much displayed. Some critics even claimed that this constituent artistic element is totally absent from the work of this great story-teller. In the present study the author attempts to restore the truth, highlighting the main folk sources and resources of this specific and indispensable to any literature in general.
