| Rezumat: | The bio- constituent, specific to the specialized vocabulary of various fields (medicine, biology, geology), has a significant expansion in the current Romanian language, following the scientific and technical progress. As an independent lexeme, it is used as an adjective in the colloquial language, being an indication of the increasing preoccupation for the quality of life at the beginning of the 21st century. Media encourages the productivity of the pseudo-prefix and independent lexeme both through occasional compounds and names of trading companies. |
