| Rezumat: | The present study presents several argumentative structures and rhetorical techniques to capture the audience that occur in the religious discourse, with reference to a sermon delivered by the Romanian Metropolitan Bartolomeu Anania upon the patron of a church. In short, we analyzed the adequacy of the discourse to the communicative context and the communicative performance of the speaker by describing the use of such rhetorical arguments, as the authority of the hierarch, the biblical quotation and sayings and the appeal to transfer the Scripture’s teachings on the believer’s daily life. |
