| Rezumat: | Language and gender is a topic that is of interest in its own right; it is also important because of what it can add to our understanding of language and how it works, and to the sociolinguistic study of language. The focus of this research is on generalized gender differences. Is women’s language a distinct style or register of a language? Are women more polite than men? Are there any differences in the way women and men interact? How is language used to refer to women and men? This paper gives answers while exploring diversity among women and among men. |
