Learning a foreign language often goes through plurilinguistic situations. The mechanisms such as the linguistic transfer, loan and alternating codes are often in the L3 acquire center; therefore linguistic proximity is not always a factor to facilitate this process. Despite the undeniable effectiveness of communicative methods, careful observation of the learning process of L3 shows the importance of properly structuring metalinguistic reflection and decontextualized knowledge. Therefore, a contrastive approach to language is needed, together with creating links between skills, resulting in the formation of effective plurilinguistic skill.
