L’étude s’intéresse au mécanisme de la dérivation, plus particulièrement à la dérivation dite impropre. C’est un processus de mutation de valeurs inhérentes à l’emploi d’un terme à la place d’un mot de catégorie grammaticale différente. Il en résulte des constituants par hypostase. Cette réalité linguistique met au coeur de nos préoccupations les manifestations linguistiques de la dérivation impropre et leurs incidences dans l’expression des idées. La description des faits de langue part de l’hypothèse que la dérivation impropre est une hypostase par dé/resémantisation des mots qui changent ainsi de classe grammaticale. L’analyse des énoncés extraits d’Histoires de fous de Camara Nangala aboutit au résultat que la dérivation impropre traduit la mobilité des unités linguistiques entre catégories grammaticales. Elle constitue un ressort de la flexibilité de la langue française dans un souci d’efficacité de la communication.
The study focuses on the bypass mechanism, especially in the so-called improper derivation. It is a process of change of values inherent to the use of a term instead of a different grammatical category of the word. It’s the result of the constituents’ hypostasis. This linguistic reality puts at the heart of our concerns improper derivation’s linguistic manifestations and their impacts in the expression of ideas. The description of the language’s facts assumes that the improper derivation is a hypostasis by new meaning of words that change and grammatical class. The analysis of the statements extracted from Camara Nangala crazy stories (Histoire de fous) leads to the result that the improper derivation reflects the mobility of language units between grammatical categories. It is a spring of the flexibility of the french language in the interests of effective communication.
