Rezumat: | Starting from the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages, we set out several landmarks which then became part and parcel of the didactic activities carried out during the period 2007-2010 ensuring the initial training of the future foreign language teachers (English, French) at « Valahia » University of Târgovişte. Generally, these activities consisted in: courses and seminars of English and French Didactics, observations during classes, elaboration of didactic projects, and interventions as substitute teacher during the practice period organized in schools for the future teachers. The main problems considered, resulting from the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages, refer to: the pragmatic dimension of language, the need to know the student (age, experience), the teacher’s personality, the students’ access to teaching materials (textbooks, audio-visual materials and Internet), the communicational and actional perspective, and the importance of interaction, goal definition and evaluation. During the above- mentioned activities, the future foreign language teachers proved able to implement the main goals resulting from the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages, in order to carry out an efficient foreign language teaching. |
