Rezumat:The interpretation points out the actuality of Ion Heliade Rădulescu’s theory about the centre and the concentration, as an expression of the philosophy of identity. Developed in his theoretical works such as The Equilibrium between Antithesis or The Universal Critical History, the doctrine distinguishes between ‘centralization’ (action that postulates the primacy of an autarchic centre, characteristic for the simple or despotic unity), ‘decentralization’ (implying the absence of the centre or its subordination to the elements of the system, synonymous with dissolution or anarchy) and ‘concentration’ (the true union or the composed unity around a centre that establishes with the elements of the system relations of harmony and liberty). Connected with this theory, Heliade also discusses the distinction between a partial center, a general center and a universal center, all of them integrated in an ideal theocentric world.
