| Rezumat: | This paper discusses the struggle that appears within the self of the artist who discovers himself in a society that imposes limits and strict rules to the artistic environment. The individual finds himself at the border of existence as he does not know which is the path to follow and as he is often unable to make a clear decision. Aldous Huxley’s The Monicle and A.E. Baconsky’s The Stonecutter’s Run will be the stories in which the analysis of this inner struggle unfolds underlining the points in which the two artists meent and those in which their life approaches diverge. |
