| Abstract: | [On Telescopic Words in Current Press. Theories, Processes and Uses] The article deals with a very interesting phenomenon, more often used in current mass-media, which consist of merging two or several words, expressions, proper names which have a common element. We describe and try to establish the common and the differentiating features of this phenomenon and the others related to it, and we do this by analysing a corpus of texts from newspapers and entertainment shows. |
