| Rezumat: | The paper contains information collected from the few informers who remember details regarding the traditional clothing worn in the Romanian communities from the above mentioned area, at different times. These information disappear, unfortunately, and we do not find them introduced in the present scientific circuit, their disappearance being the result of the young’s reticence in relating to ancestral traditions but also the result of their refuse to learn Romanian language in order to send to future generations the valuable Romanian material and immaterial heritage still existing in Serbia. The brief analysis of the components defining the folk traditional costume at present as compared to the one worn at the end of the nineteenth century and the beginning of the twentieth century, shows a rapid dilution of these authentic elements, which have been and still are part of their culture. Such a comparative analysis of the main components of the Romanian costume from Timocul Negru area was necessary because it changed significantly in time, and these changes can be notified today at the occasional wearers met only at festivals or other kinds of cultural events. The reference to past of the present complements the perspective of a population living in this area for centuries, and, contrary to all factors of denationalization, it has stubbornly resisted and even perpetuated the Romanian element at the south of Danube. |
