| Abstract: | Parimiile preste an, a lectionary published in 1683 by a well-known Romanian scholar, has never made the subject of a thorough and exclusive study, although its place within the Romanian culture is rather peculiar. Following the assumptions that have been made about its origins and its use, we verify them by comparison with the Byzantine and the Old Slavonic traditions of an Old Testament lectionary type, the prophetologion. |
