Abstract:[Public Relations Discourse in Military Organizations. A Case Study] The present paper presents several discourse features specific to nowadays Romanian military written texts. The public relations process in military organizations aims at creating an image of proficiency and trust among its publics, both internal (officers and subordinates in the line of duty or retired) and external (the general public). The use of informative discourse alternates with the use of persuasive, even propagandistic discourse which is realized through specific techniques (the bandwagon, the loyalty, the witness, and personification) and language (abundance of adjectives, adverbs and nouns with strong positive effects).
