| Abstract: | [Lexico-syntactic notes: expressing age in old Romanian] This paper discusses the means of expressing age in old Romanian, in comparison to modern Romanian. While in old Romanian only the be-structure was possible, modern Romanian has preserved the be-structure in the spoken language, but largely prefers the have-structure, most probably a French imitation. |
