Abstract:[The evolution of the inventory in meteorological terminology. Levels of usage]
The present paper examines the evolution of the inventory in meteorological terminology, being thus part of a descriptive-linguistic research dedicated to this specialised language. Starting from three sources belonging to a large period of time in the development of literary Romanian (1639–1790), the paper underlines the importance held by the diachronic perspective of study. Consequently, further attention is given to general and specific characteristics in the evolution of meteorological terminology, as well as to close analysis of levels in which terminological units are used.
