| Abstract: | In Romanian grammar the classification of verbs and moods in predicative and non-predicative generated a series of controversial issues, such as confusion among predicative verbs/ copulative verbs/ predicative auxiliaries. The primary opposition predicative/ non-predicative reflects a double determination: the first one referring to verbs, the second one referring to moods. In order to understand the implication of such controversies, we shall discuss about three aspects: identification of predicative marks, definition of predicative category from a syntactic point of view. |
