| Abstract: | In the present paper, the author presents the difficulties of self-translation as self-fiction. He analyses the linguistic and cultural differences to be solved in the case of the French self-variant he gave for the novel Roumains déracinés, a work of art which has two Romanian versions, Comoara and Dislocații (the former utterly censored during the communist period). |
