Abstract: | The present article establishes the authorship of two texts preserved in ms. 68 (ex-Brera 317) from Archivio di Stato in Venice. The first one is written in Italian and contains definitions of some notions of geography and astronomy; the second is a Roumanian-Iroquoian vocabulary. They were copied and translated by Vlad Boţulescu de Mălăieşti, in the 18th century, from the third volume of G. B. Ramusio’s book, Delle navigationi i viaggi. An annotated edition of the vocabulary is given, beside of which, we have put his Italian version. |
