| Abstract: | [Pragmatic functions of the connector deci in present-day spoken Romanian] In the present paper, we try to identify the pragmatic and discursive function of the marker deci, using a Romanian corpus of authentic dialogues, Verbal Interaction in Present-day Romanian. Corpus and Typology. Our analysis, conceived from a double perspective, synchronic and diachronic, aims at illustrating the pragmatic polymorphism of this discourse connective in spoken Romanian as well as at formulating some hypotheses concerning its historical source. |
