| Abstract: | In this paper, we aim to approach and examine some aspects of the graphic assimilation of anglicisms in two Romance languages, namely Romanian and Italian. The suggested working method is the contrastive study of the two languages regarding the graphic assimilation of anglicisms, study based on the similarities and differences between the two languages in this respect. The analysis will consider the process of assimilation and accommodation of the vowels and consonants for the words borrowed from English, will emphasize and illustrate the importance of the phonetic graphic writing (old, common), of the etymological one and, last but not least, of the hybrid one. |
