| Abstract: | The study represents the linguistical approach of an interdiscilplinary research on the folk-religious hollyday of Sânziene. The author discusses the etymology of the word Sânziene proposed by researchers by now, identifying two directions: the religious perspective and the folklore-mythological perspective. More arguments are given by the author, by adding the dialectal data referring to the word. |
