| Abstract: | The present study deals with a controversial problem of Romanian syntax, that is the syntactic value of the cardinal numeral up to twenty and after twenty. Using the pros and cons arguments expressed in the main Romanian grammar treaties, as well as in Professor’s Ștefan Găitănaru’s work, from which we have started our analysis, we bring supplementary arguments that make us consider the noun, respectively adjectival value of the cardinal numeral in an unitary manner, regardless they are up to twenty of after twenty. |
