| Abstract: | From an interdisciplinary perspective the research refers to the problem of sociocultural asymmetry between left and right. We evaluated the various types of criteria (social, biological, cosmological) which tried to explain the impressive generality of this duality, with special attention to the view taken by structural anthropology and French sociological school. Starting from the dualistic organization of exotic civilizations, we arrive to the way this asymmetry is seen in the Romanian archaic imaginary, in funeral texts, charms or epical songs. |
