| Abstract: | The current study constitutes an analysis of the verbal disagreement within the contemporary televised discourse using the theoretical framework designed by Muntigl and Turnbull (1998). At the same time, the second part of our study will illustrate a series of features of the verbal disagreement found in talk-shows and television debates, such as using address terms in order to mark disagreement, delaying the counter-affirmation or making use of the ”temporal minimizers”. |
