| Abstract: | [Means of Creating the Comic in Two Romances by Góngora: A New Perspective] The article performs a comparative analysis of two romances written by the Spanish poet Luis de Góngora y Argote. He was considered obscure by his epigones due to the vocabulary used and his treatment of imagery. All this is a result of the disintegration of universalism. The present interpretation aims to reveal the playful and humorous side of the poet, as reflected in his fine rhetorical figures. The analysis will focus on the source of the comic, as well as on the means of producing it. |
