| Abstract: | Our approach highlights a few ephemeral lexical forms, of French etymology mainly, used in the Romanian fashion journalistic language during the second half of the 19th century. We have analysed and identified terms with no lexicographic registration. Equivocal meanings have been disclosed and clarified according to the definitions in the Romanian and foreign dictionaries on the basis of examples extracted from journals and newspapers of the epoch with the precious help of the iconic context. |
