| Abstract: | We intend to offer a brief overview on the history and criticism of the translation of the works of Victor Hugo in the Romanian space, to go in search of the Romanian translators, observe their literary and social role in the maintenance of intercultural dialogue. We will observe their translating ideology, their preferences for certain translation strategies. |
