Abstract:Self translated poems and poetry are not two distanced literary phenomenon. They belong to the same “otherness” which is characterized by the cultural and linguistic double identity of the author. Self-translated poetry is indeed the most incisive literary representation of this “otherness” because poetry is the foreign language par excellence, and it lives in a no man’s land without boundary nor accent. In this article I want to highlight the relationships between self-translated poetry and poetry creation, through the example of an interlinear self-translation that generates a polymorph text and allows to blend source text and target text.
