| Abstract: | This paper analyses the order of adjectives with respect to the head noun in Romanian. All classes of adjectives have been dealt with: qualifying, classifying and reference-modifying adjectives. At the same time, we have presented the serialisation schemata, dealing with the hierarchisation of co-occurring adjectives. Although there are many word-order constraints which favour postposition, we endorse the hypothesis according to which the word order of Romanian adjectives is free. |
