  • The article is intended as an up-to-date survey of the publicistic style in terms of the most common errors generated by the incorrect use of the Romanian adverb undeva (somewhere). There will be exemplified the types of errors that occur in newspapers: pleonasms, clichés, semantic inadequacy or imprecision, redundancy. Under the influence of English the adverb is frequently used today as a means of expressing approximation although Romanian language has other lexical structures specialized for this meaning.
  • L’article se veut une analyse de dernière heure du style publicistique dans la perspective des plus fréquentes erreurs qui ont pour cause l’emploi incorrect de l’adverbe roumain undeva. Les exemples illustrent plusieurs types d’erreurs parues dans les articles de la presse écrite: pléonasmes, clichés, incompatibilité ou imprécision sémantique, expression inadéquate du point de vue sémantique, redondance. Sous l’influence de l’anglais, l’adverbe undeva est fréquemment utilisé en roumain contemporain comme un moyen d’exprimer l’approximation, bien que celui-ci ait d’autres structures lexicales spécialisées en ce sens.
