| Abstract: | The present study brings into discussion the idea that rhetoric is a science with an impressive history which can be fully discovered only in a paradigmatic dialogue. To do this, one should discover and interconnect terms and notions like: paradigm, episteme, model, selection, selective recovery, intercultural dialogue, scientific revolution, rhetorical vein. The rhetorical vein crossed the history as a red thread, evident even in periods when rhetoric was denied. Questions should be addressed to the three essential paradigms of the European culture evolution: the classic, the modern (romantic) and the postmodern paradigm, in an effort to rehabilitate the road traversed by rhetoric from its inception until today. |
