Iulia Cosma

Iulia COSMA is senior lecturer at the West University of Timisoara where she teaches History of Italian literature and translation. She has a PhD in Philology (thesis on the feminine characters in the epic poems of Luigi Pulci, Matteo Maria Boiardo and Ludovico Ariosto). In 2014-2015 she was a postdoctoral researcher in the Sectoral Operational Programme Human Resources Development 2007-2013, project number POSDRU/159/1.5/S/140863 and her research focused on the Romanian translations of Dante’s Inferno (19th to 21st century). She writes on history of translation and translation criticism in Romanian, Italian and English. Member of the Isttrarom-Translationes Research Center and of the editorial board of Translationes.
