| Abstract: | Starting from three old Romanian texts (17th – the beginning of the 18th century), we analyse the relation between description and argumentation. We try to point out that a thematic type of description can be an argument (of value / quality), in order to emphasize another thematic type of description (our analysis focuses on topography and portrait). |
