Abstract:[Retroherent transitives: A case study of the Romanian (se) supăra]
This paper focuses on a relatively narrow, but problematic, aspect of Romanian pseudo-reflexive phenomena, specifically the behavior or retroherent intransitives that retain their retroherent feature when activating their transitive syntactic valence. The analysis attempts to integrate harmoniously valuable insights from Relational Grammar and Generative Grammar research.
