Abstract:In our research work we have classified medical phraseological units into fixed idiomatic and non-idiomatic structures (collocations, strictly specialized co-occurrences). This criterion of classification into stable phraseological units having a higher or lesser degree of occurrency in medical texts along with semantic and morpholexical structuring of these collocations could be considered important linguistic aims, not only in teaching medical vocabulary to foreign students, but also in comparative researches of the field. Rigorous systematic models of medical terms are to be discovered in our research paper which could be equally considered a theoretical as well as practice contribution to amplify the terminological data banks and diversify ways of terms description in other terminographical works.
Key words:phraseological units, idiomatic, non-idiomatic, occurrences, medical jargon
