Abstract: | The specialized speech is frequently seen as an objective one, characterized by an austere, concise style, without metaphors or any other forms of creative expression. In the last decades, more works are relevant for the fact that this perception is not true: the scientific (technical) speech often uses figurative expressions. In this paper, we will analyze the most common conceptual metaphors of specialized speech. |
