Abstract: | Article makes a foray into the poetic imagination, setting the main frameworks defining this domain. It started from the principle that the artistic image, as foundation of the poetic language, constitutes an expression of reality never fully revealed or which builds up a different reality than that of reflecting the external world. Thus, the poetic image has a symbolic function, being placed in a permanent field of tension between linguistic meaning and poetic meaning. Also, it stresses the imagination-image-imaginary relationship, revealing the role that the poetic image has, that is to discover what lies beyond perceptible reality: transcendence. On the other hand, the study deals with the analysis of the imaginary poetic elements, with the integration of the four principles, true archetypes of imagination, which provide the dynamics and organization of the world, in relation to conceptions of the ancients. |
