Abstract: | [From reality to word and back] Due to its relation with senses and cogitation, language is an influential factor in the development of human mentality, and the communication ability it develops and sustains converts it into a decisive social agent. Language is essentially an instrument, but with its natural tendency towards autonomy it tends to also acquire the character of an organ; it thus comes, on the one hand, to communicate the results of thought and cognitive process, and on the other hand, to become a centripetal force. In turn, thinking has the ability to impose – through language – the results of its own processes, regardless of the results transmitted by reality – through senses. |
