| Abstract: | The article presents the relationship between classical literature and (political) authority, defining the aesthetic schools and orientations in a political perspective. The analysis is based on French ideology of classicism from the 17th century (Jean Clapelain, Nicolas Boileau), as well as on ancient and modern aesthetic theories, especially Plato’s and Adorno’s. |
