[The corpus for the comparative study of the French and Romanian prisons. Methodological challenges.] Our research proposes to en large on a three-way analysis. We shall analyse the concept of corpus in the comparative study of prison-related environment and shall describe the elements contributing to understanding how the prison-related discourse is put into practice. Stress will be laid upon the constraints such a research entails, upon the perspectives exploitable depending on the difficulties encountered in order to have access into a “total institution” (Goffman 1968 : 41). Aiming at an empirical and comparative approach of the problem, we shall present the detainee as a subject-speaker expressing his discourse-related identity and as a social actor gradually acquainting himself to his experience as an offender, the experience and the existence in confinement.
[Corpusul pentru studiul comparat al închisorilor din Franța și România. Provocări metodologice.] Cercetarea noastră propune dezvoltarea a trei direcţii de analiză. Vom analiza conceptul de corpus în cazul studiului comparativ al mediului carceral şi vom descrie elementele care contribuie la înţelegerea punerii în practică a discursului carceral. Vom sublinia rigorile pe care le impune o astfel de cercetare, perspectivele exploatabile în funcţie de dificultăţile întâmpinate pentru a avea acces într-o « instituţie totală » (Goffman 1968 : 41). Vizând o abordare a problemei din perspectivă empirică şi comparativă, vom prezenta deţinutul ca subiect-vorbitor exprimându-şi identitatea discursivă şi ca actor social cunoscând gradual experienţa delincventă, experienţa şi existenţa carcerală.
